Little did we know we would be climbing that tower very shortly....

The historic old city of Gdańsk, which had suffered large-scale destruction (aka bombing) at the hands of the Soviet Army, was rebuilt in the 50's

We finally were spit out of the brick spiral stairs and into the large bell tower area, we were very obviously not almost there!
